6th Workshop on Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing 2025
Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing methods like Metal Binder Jetting or Lithography-based Metal AM are currently the most promising route towards modern industrial series production. They all have in common that no tools or moulds are required for shaping; and the resulting components, after being subjected to a final heat treatment (“debinding and sintering”), have mechanical properties similar to those of conventionally manufactured PM parts. One of the main benefits of sinter-based AM is the ability to utilize a wide range of materials, including metals and ceramics, basically any powder material that can be sintered would be a potentially suitable material for this process.
Over the last five years, Fraunhofer IFAM's Sinter-based AM workshop has established itself as one of the prime industry get-togethers on metal binder jetting and other sinter-based AM processes. Our international speakers from industry and R&D will provide insight into the latest advancements and industrial implementation of the respective technologies. The workshop program will be supplemented by interactive elements, a tabletop exhibition and a Component Award competition.
The main topics addressed in this workshop will be
- Industrial implementation of Metal Binder Jetting and Use Cases
- Sinter-based AM with ceramics
- New materials for sinter-based AM
Join us for an informative event that is specially tailored for industrial users. Discuss technologies with the experts, network with fellow professionals and keep informed about the latest trends in Sinter-based AM.
